1. Our approach
Defence organisations need security that protects capability and stands up to scrutiny. Codec Networks works on four principles:
- Mission first: every control is judged by what it does for the confidentiality of designs, the integrity of products and the continuity of programmes.
- Clearance-aware delivery: assessments of classified or restricted environments are carried out only by vetted staff, under the customer's security clearance procedures, on site and on the customer's systems where required, with no controlled data leaving the customer's custody.
- Assume compromise: segment networks, control transfers, monitor around the clock and rehearse response so incidents are found early, contained and reported on time.
- Prove it: findings mapped to SMLDI 2025, CERT-In's Directions and audit guidelines, NCIIPC controls, NIST SP 800-171 and ISO/IEC 27001.
2. Mapping threats to services

Auditor eligibility and independence Defence and PSU tenders for security audits commonly require bidders to hold current CERT-In empanelment, and classified or restricted work requires the customer's security clearance and vetting procedures to be followed. Codec Networks is CERT-In empanelled for information security auditing services and empanelled with NICSI for application audit and compliance services (start-up category); it confirms eligibility, independence and staffing that meets the customer's clearance requirements in each proposal. |
